This label design represents "Brand X" to my most famous design to date, Dapper Dan Pomade. Both were done for
O Brother Where Art Thou?. George Clooney's character, Ulysses Everett McGill, was, he said, "a Dapper Dan
man." During his adventures he found himself in the wilds of civilization...a town with no Dapper Dan. He
took great umbrage to the shopkeeper's offer of FOP instead.

I designed Dapper Dan with its cheerful 1920s design to represent Ulysses' traditional family values, home and bonafide
hearth. FOP with it's spare Art Deco design was, on the other hand, urban and modernistic. Need any more be said?
